My name is Jim Kowalski and more than anything else, I love kids.
I have four of my own (Cooper 10, Lilah 7, Isaac 5, and Violet 2) with my beautiful wife Sarah. Even from an early age, my mom tells me that when we were out and about at a park or beach, I would inevitably find those kids who didn't have anyone to play with or looked lonely and make them feel welcome. I don't write this to brag, but it is this connection to kids that I believe educators have.
We want kids to feel safe and happy and loved and cared for. We look for those pure souls who need extra attention and security. Who need a person in their lives that really cares about and respects them. I truly believe that educators have gifts that are not always appreciated or quantifiable. We work tirelessly to do what is best for kids sometimes at the sake of our own personal lives. But it is this deep love and respect for children that calls us to the profession and art.
